TBR Spotlight

Welcome to TBR spotlight, where I share a book I’m very excited to get to soon!  Because let’s face it. Just because I haven’t read a book yet… doesn’t mean I don’t want to talk about it!

This week’s Tbr Spotlight of the week is…

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

the cold.
Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf – her wolf – watches back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn’t know why.

the heat.
Sam has lived two lives. As a wolf, he keeps the silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year, he is human, never daring to talk to Grace . . . until now.

the shiver.
For Grace and Sam, love has always been kept at a distance. But once it’s spoken, it cannot be denied. Sam must fight to stay human – and Grace must fight to keep him – even if it means taking on the scars of the past, the fragility of the present, and the impossibility of the future.

I’ve had shiver on my tbr since 2013! Since the year it came out. The worst part is I have owned the book since it came out. No, the worst part is actually that I read the first couple of chapters already and still havent finished it!

So, 2013 was the first year I worked for the bookstore. Just before Christmas, they have a HUGE sale on books for employees. I had never been so excited in all my life. I bought the biggest load of books I have ever bought at one time in my life. I’m pretty sure it was 2 huge bags just filled to the brim.

I was so excited that, when I got home, I proceded to pile all of the books around me on my bed. I then read the first chapter of every book on my bed. It took a while.

Needless to say, I was a tad flustered by so many great options, and that one got pushed to the bottom of the list somehow.

The Raven Cycle books by Maggie are one of my all time favorite series. I also feel like November, or one of these snowy months, is the perfect time to start this series. Also, the book is being made into a movie! Apparently the directors have changed recently, but it’s still in the works!

Have you read this one yet?
